About the ACCA
The Asia Cloud Computing Association (ACCA) is the apex industry association that represents stakeholders of the cloud computing ecosystem in Asia. Founded originally in 2010, our mission is to accelerate the adoption of cloud computing throughout Asia Pacific.
We are a not-for-profit organisation comprising members of the cloud computing and data ecosystem. This includes cloud service providers (CSPs), cloud users, system integrators, and all other companies and organisations who consider themselves part of the data economy.
Leadership – Exco 2024
Chair: Eric Hui, Equinix
Eric Hui is the Chair of the ACCA and also a committee member of the Hong Kong Information Technology Industry Council. As the Director of Business Development at Equinix Asia Pacific, Eric is responsible for developing the Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem which encompasses device connectivity, data aggregation, insight analytics and artificial intelligence. Eric has more than 20 years of management experience in the IT sector including backgrounds in networking, managed services and cloud services.
Vice-Chair: Quint Simon, AWS
Quint Simon serves as Head of Public Policy, APAC for Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this capacity, she leads AWS’ engagements with policy-makers and regulators across Asia on policy issues related to the adoption of cloud computing and emerging technologies. She has deep expertise in cybersecurity, privacy and data protection, digital trade, and related regulatory issues. Based in Singapore, Quint is Vice-Chair of the US-ASEAN Business Council’s ICT committee, and sits on the Executive Committee of SGTech. Quint holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Politics from Georgetown University and a Master’s In Business Administration (MBA) from INSEAD.
Treasurer: Chester Chua, Google
Chester Chua is Head of Government Affairs and Public Policy at Google Cloud, where he oversees the organization’s policy efforts in Singapore and for the financial services industry across Asia-Pacific. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Asia Securities Industry & Financial Markets Association (ASIFMA). He holds a Master of Public Administration in International Development from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
Emeritus Director: Lim May-Ann
May-Ann is the Director of the Fair Tech Institute at technology consultancy firm Access Partnership, and is concurrently the Emeritus Director of the Asia Cloud Computing Association (ACCA). She has worked extensively on technology policy development, including next gen data governance policies, digital economy, ICTs for development, cloud and data centre policy, data protection and cybersecurity. She has worked with global multilaterals such as APEC, ASEAN, PECC, INTERPOL, UNIDIR, FELEBAN, and the ACCA on thought leadership development, government outreach and stakeholder engagement efforts. A strong advocate for digital inclusion and sustainability, May-Ann volunteers as a young professionals mentor with Advisory Singapore, and is Chairman of the Board (2023-2024) for nonprofit organisation Engineering Good, which focuses on assistive technology and digital inclusion of the underprivileged and disabled.
Head of Secretariat: Christy Tsang
Christy Tsang is Head of Secretariat for ACCA, and also a policy analyst at Access Partnership. She has extensive experience working in various research and project management roles at Oxfam, the UNDP, and the HKSAR Government. Most recently, Christy worked as a Researcher at Third Bridge, covering the technology, media, and telecommunications sector in Southeast Asia for consulting firms and institutional investors. Christy holds a BA in Social Anthropology from the School of Oriental and African Studies, and a Master in Public Policy from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy. She is also a fellow under the Internet Society’s Early Career Fellowship Programme. She holds the IAPP/Asia certification. Christy is from Hong Kong and is based in the Singapore office. She speaks English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
