About the Forum
Australia did well in 2014’s Cloud Readiness Index (CRI), moving up four places to the third-most cloud ready market in Asia Pacific. Favourable government policies which discuss, clarify, and support the adoption of information technologies – such as a “cloud first” public sector policy – have created positive conditions for cloud uptake. What are some observed trends of cloud uptake in Australia, and the next phase of growth? And what are the conditions which will continue to develop a positive prospectus for cloud computing adoption in Australia?
In the midst of an upbeat outlook for technology uptake, a repeated mantra has been that the SME sector will power Asia Pacific’s next phase of growth. With SMEs making up the majority of businesses in Australia, cloud technology is supposed to revolutionise the way that SMEs work, and provide unparalleled efficiencies – a game-changer for the SME sector. Yet very little is known about what the SME market looks like. How do enterprises and CIOs work to develop products that address the needs of the small business entrepreneur?
You’re invited to join the Asia Cloud Computing Association (ACCA) in discussion as we share the results of our research on the SME market across 14 Asia Pacific countries, and explore perspectives on these questions with our partners on Friday 5 Dec 2014 in Sydney, Australia. You must register to attend this event, but registration for this event is completely free, and available online at http://is.gd/sydneycloud2014
